Chalmers United Church

Chalmers United ChurchFor almost two years, I served as a sound technician at Chalmers United Church in Kingston, Ontario. I began in this role in June of 2010, approximately two months after I began attending Chalmers as my place of worship. I provided live management of all of the audio used for the Sunday morning services, on a rotating schedule with the other techs (2 to 4 total at different times), as well as live streamed the service over the Internet to those who are unable to attend in person. I also provided audio management for other events that are held at Chalmers including weddings, funerals, concerts, and conferences. These usually worked out to be about one event a month and there was a large variety in complexity.

A reference from Steven Chambers, former minister of Chalmers, said this via LinkedIn:

“Ryan is a careful and dedicated part of our worship team. As our sound and internet broadcast technician, Ryan is on top of the ‘live production ‘ of our worship and sensitive to its different textures. He carries this same approach to other events – concerts, weddings, funerals. He is just great to work with!” April 18, 2011
