To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter to provide a character reference for Ryan Robinson. Having known Ryan for four years and having served alongside him in a ministry capacity, I will wholeheartedly attest to his strong, faith-centered principles and his desire to work for God in any capacity needed.

Ryan has shown his dedication to the work of ministry in his time leading the Campus Alpha ministry at Queen’s University. I personally witnessed the long hours and painstaking work he put into making this ministry a strong, relevant presence at Queen’s. During this time, he showed strong managerial skills, a great deal of patience and creativity, and the ability to delegate jobs while responding sensitively to the needs of others. But most importantly, he modeled dependence on God’s guidance and unwavering faith that He would make a way for the ministry. This was a great inspiration to me personally, and I know it powerfully encouraged the rest of the Alpha team. Ryan would be a capable leader or follower in a ministry capacity, and has the faith and character necessary to do either.

More importantly, however, Ryan lives out his daily life as a man who strives to obey God. I lived with Ryan for three years, and know that his integrity runs deep. He always seeks to define his faith on Biblical terms, is not afraid to consider and answer perspectives that challenge his own, and is very willing to help others along on their spiritual journeys, wherever they may be. The quality that best describes Ryan is that he is a man who loves God deeply, and lets that spill over into service for others. More than anything, this is what I see in Ryan, and more than his knowledge or his selflessness, this is the quality that will serve him best in life.

If asked, I would wholeheartedly recommend Ryan to serve in a ministry capacity. God’s Word tells us, “So whatever you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” (1st Corinthians 10:31). I can tell that this is what drives Ryan.
